1st Day Jitters

It's the first day of school at a new school. You don't know anyone and you don't know where the bathroom or office is. You are so excited, but so nervous at the same time. Will the teacher like you? Will you make any new friends? Will you be able to figure out the car rider line?

Wait...What??? You thought I was talking about Myles? These are all my fears. Ha!

Today I sent my baby off. My first born. My tender-hearted one. My one that aims to please and be liked by everyone. And as I sit here writing this, I am praying with everything in me that he's ok. Praying that kids accept him. Praying that he can relax and be his happy go-lucky self.

It's hard sitting here and not being able to help him. What if someone is mean to him? What if he gets lost on the way to the bathroom? What if he just needs a hug?

breath mama bear...breath.

We are NEVER done parenting. Shoot, I will probably be 95 and still parenting if I'm around! But, there comes a time when we do have to put our trust in God. I can't go with him to school. I can't go into the mens' restroom to make sure he's making a good choice. I have to trust and believe that I have (and continue to) done a good job with him, and that God is protecting him.

Will there be things that we have to work through that I wish we wouldn't have to experience? Yes! But, doing it together as a family, and involving God in our decisions helps prepare us to move forward. So as much as I am praying for him today; I am also praying for myself to relax, and trust in the Lord this year.

He will be ok. He will make new friends. And he will have the best year yet! I am so excited and proud of this little man!

Here's to a fabulous school year Myles Carson!

 LOVE these lil' boogers!
He's going to pass me up some day! Getting so big and tall!
Always kisses for my big boy!
 You can do this buddy!

We're here! Along with a 1,000 other people.

 Mrs. McGowan

 Adore my little lefty!

Parker is sure going to miss his bubby!
Oh my heart. These two are the best!

Daddy is super proud of this big guy!

He adores her already. After back to school night he told me she was very pretty. ;)

Gosh, he's such a cute little student.
He caught me. Haha!

So all you mamas out there: Take a deep breath, pray often, and ENJOY your peace and quite. :)
